Registration is now open.
Computing for All (CFA), in partnership with the Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) and Career Connect Washington (CCW), is excited to announce the launch of Career Prep, a free training program designed to equip Washington residents with the essential skills needed to launch successful careers in cybersecurity, data analytics, IT & cloud computing, and software development.
Tailored Training and Support for Career Success
Career Prep offers three flexible program tracks, each designed to meet individual career goals and skill levels. Participants will gain essential job-ready skills through interactive online modules and live virtual workshops covering topics such as personal branding, application materials, effective job searching, interview techniques, interpersonal skills, and future-proofing tech careers. To ensure personalized support, monthly coaching sessions and dedicated job placement assistance will be provided, including ongoing support for up to six months after securing a position.
Focus on Equity and Diversity
CFA is dedicated to increasing the diversity of the tech workforce in Washington state and prioritizes individuals and communities that have historically been underrepresented to provide equal opportunities for all. This includes but is not limited to women, Black, Latinx, Indigenous and Native American, Asian American, and Pacific Islander individuals, LGBTQ+ individuals, individuals with disabilities, veterans, low-income individuals and residents of underserved communities.
Washington residents who have recently completed or are within one year of completing a technical degree or training program are encouraged to apply online at: https://forms.office.com/r/9Uv834jssR.
The application process includes completing a skills assessment, meeting with a Career Navigator to collaborate on a professional development plan and receiving access to online learning modules, live virtual workshops and job placement resources.
The Washington Tech Workforce Coalition:
Bridging the Tech Talent Gap
Career Prep is offered by Computing for All (CFA), a 501(c)(3) technology education nonprofit organization based in Seattle, Washington, as one of the training providers working with the Washington Tech Workforce Coalition to place 1,000 individuals in tech jobs by October 2025. Career prep is committed to offering career-ready services and contributing 50 placements toward this goal. Initial funding for the Coalition is provided by the US Department of Commerce Good Jobs Challenge grant through the Washington Jobs Initiative managed by the Washington Student Achievement Council.
